Yarrow Sprig Copper Necklace #4
$30.00 Sold Out
This unique necklace features a real sprig of Yarrow, collected from my garden in the late autumn, bronzed completely in rich brown tarnished copper and lastly hand-polished.
The genus name Achillea is derived from the Greek figure Achilles, who, according to Homer's Illiad, was taught how to use this healing herb on the fields of battle by the centaur Chiron. Yarrow, in fact, has been used utilized for it's wound-staunching properties across Eurasian cultures since antiquity. It's considered by many to be the quintessential herb of healers, and carrying or wearing this herb is said to confer protection.
Each one of these Yarrow sprig necklaces is completely unique and so will vary from the modeled picture. The first three pictures reflect the specific necklace you will receive.
This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in a manner similar to the last photo in the listing and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
Please let me know at checkout if you have a necklace length preference! Otherwise I will include an 18" chain by default.
