Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) - Large Copper Dipped Pendant

This pendant contains one small sprig of Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), dried and preserved permanently in a glass-like point of resin, topped with a layer of earthy electroplated copper with copper bail and chain.
Wormwood, characterized by it's deeply earthy smell and velvety silver leaves, is perhaps best known as the main ingredient in the hallucinogenic alcoholic beverage "absinthe", aka "The Green Fairy". However, in larger doses, it is also known as a powerful poisonous herb.
The specimen has been dried thoroughly and coated in a UV resistant finish prior to being embedded in epoxy resin. The piece measures approximately 3 1/2" inches long including bail holding the chain, by about 5/8" wide.
This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in a manner similar to the last photo in the listing and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
