Wood Squill (Scilla siberica) - Copper Plated Necklace #2

This pendant contains one small sprig of Wood Squill (Scilla siberica), dried and preserved in a clear dome of glass-like resin and then electroformed with a ring of patina'd copper.

Wood Squill, otherwise known as Siberian Squill, is a Russian native wildflower, blooming in the very early spring in forest clearings. It is widely naturalized due to it's use as a garden plant, prized for it's vivid blue blooms - a rarity in the botanical world.

This specimen has been pressed and coated with a UV resistant finish prior to being encapsulated in resin.

The pendant measures 43mm long by 31mm wide - or approximately 1 3/4" by 1 1/4". This pendant is one of a kind and will be hand wrapped in white tissue paper and hemp twine and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.

Please let me know at checkout if you have a necklace length preference! Otherwise I will include an 18" chain by default.
