Wild Thyme (Thymus serpyllum) - Small Copper Prism Necklace #1
$30.00 Sold Out
This pendant contains one small sprig of Wild Thyme (Thymus serpyllum), dried and preserved in a prism-shaped casing of glass-like resin and topped by earthy, patina'd electroplated copper.
Wild Thyme, like it's domestic counterpart, can be used as a culinary ingredient. The herb is prized among herbalists for it's soothing properties and is a common ingredient in cold-busting teas and cough drops. Spiritually, Wild Thyme has been considered a purifying herb since the days of the ancient Greeks, and was supposedly burned as an incense by temple keepers and priests to purify places of worship.
This specimen has been pressed and coated with a UV resistant finish prior to being encapsulated in resin.
The pendant measures 54mm long by 33mm wide, and 20mm thick. This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in tissue paper and hemp twine and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
Please let me know at checkout if you have a necklace length preference! Otherwise I will include an 18" chain by default.
