This pendant contains one small specimen of Wild Thyme (Thymus serpyllum), dried thoroughly and preserved in a clear thin cone of glass-like resin.
Wild Thyme, like it's domestic counterpart, can be used as a culinary ingredient. The herb is prized among herbalists for it's soothing properties and is a common ingredient in cold-busting teas and cough drops. Spiritually, Wild Thyme has been considered a purifying herb since the days of the ancient Greeks, and was supposedly burned as an incense by temple keepers and priests to purify places of worship.
The pendants measure approximately 3" (68mm) long by 1/2" (13mm) wide with stainless steel bail and chain.
