Snakeroot (Ageratina altissima) - Chunky Statement Piece Prism Necklace
This large, statement piece pendant contains one sizable sprig of Snakeroot (Ageratina altissima), dried and preserved in a prism of clear, glass-like resin.
Snakeroot is a North American native herb and a deadly poisonous one at that. It is the plant responsible for the rash of "disease" known as "milk sickness" that plagued early settlers in the 19th century of America.
The specimen has been dried thoroughly and coated in a UV resistant finish prior to being embedded in epoxy resin. The cap and findings are made of sturdy stainless steel.
This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in a manner similar to the last photo in the listing and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
Please let me know at checkout if you have a necklace length preference! Otherwise I will include an 18" chain by default.
PLEASE NOTE: The modeled shot at the second to last photo is not the exact pendant you will receive but one of the exact same dimensions, in order to give you a sense of it's scale.
