This pendant contains one small sprig of Russian Sage (Perovskia atriplicifolia), dried and preserved in a clear point of glass-like resin.
Russian Sage is a native of central Asia, and is well known as a common herbal medicine in it's native range. It is also a favorite of bees.
The pendant measures about 59mm by 10mm or 2 5/16" by 3/8", and all metal used is hypoallergenic stainless steel.
The specimen has been dried thoroughly and coated in a UV resistant finish prior to being embedded in epoxy resin. The cap and findings are made of sturdy stainless steel.
This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in a manner similar to the last photo in the listing and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
