Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) - Chunky Statement Prism Necklace #1

$35.00

This large statement necklace contains one small specimen of Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria), dried thoroughly and preserved in a clear point of glass-like resin.

Meadowsweet, otherwise known as Queen of the Meadow, is a British native herb that has been introduced to North America. As it's name suggests, it possesses a sweet taste and aroma for which it became a popular practice to strew the herbs throughout homes to provide perfume, and for this reason it is sometimes used by modern occult practitioners as a purification herb. Remains of this herb were found to be buried in Bronze Age tombs. Meadowsweet is also a well known medicinal herb, and the plants contain the chemicals used to make aspirin.

The specimen has been dried thoroughly and coated in a UV resistant finish prior to being embedded in epoxy resin. The cap and findings are made of sturdy stainless steel.

This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in a manner similar to the last photo in the listing and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.

Please let me know at checkout if you have a necklace length preference! Otherwise I will include an 18" chain by default.

PLEASE NOTE: The modeled shot at the second to last photo is not the exact pendant you will receive but one of the exact same dimensions, in order to give you a sense of it's scale.
