This pendant contains one small sprig of Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis), dried and preserved in a prism-shaped casing of glass-like resin and topped by earthy, patina'd electroplated copper.
Hyssop has been used medicinally and ritually since antiquity, and is believed by many to be the plant referred to in the Bible as Ezov, a sacred purifying herb - Hyssop being the literal translation of the word. In this respect, many modern occultists consider it to be a powerful purification herb.
This specimen has been pressed and coated with a UV resistant finish prior to being encapsulated in resin.
The pendant measures 54mm long by 33mm wide, and 20mm thick. This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in tissue paper and hemp twine and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
