Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis) - Large Copper Dipped Pendant

This pendant contains one small sprig of Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis), dried and preserved permanently in a glass-like point of resin, topped with a layer of earthy electroplated copper with copper bail and chain.
Hyssop has been used medicinally and ritually since antiquity, and is believed by many to be the plant referred to in the Bible as Ezov, a sacred purifying herb - Hyssop being the literal translation of the word. In this respect, many modern occultists consider it to be a powerful purification herb.
The specimen has been dried thoroughly and coated in a UV resistant finish prior to being embedded in epoxy resin. The piece measures approximately 3 1/2" inches long including bail holding the chain, by about 5/8" wide.
This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in a manner similar to the last photo in the listing and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
