This pendant contains one small sprig of Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla), dried and preserved in a clear dome of glass-like resin and then electroformed with a ring of patina'd copper.
Hydrangeas are arguably one of the most iconic garden plants in the world, a staple of the cottage garden image.
This specimen has been pressed and coated with a UV resistant finish prior to being encapsulated in resin.
The pendant measures 43mm long by 31mm wide - or approximately 1 3/4" by 1 1/4". This pendant is one of a kind and will be hand wrapped in white tissue paper and hemp twine and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
