This pendant contains one small sprig of Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis), dried and preserved in a prism-shaped casing of glass-like resin and topped by earthy, patina'd electroplated copper.
A native of North America, Canada Goldenrod, along with the many other species of Goldenrod that fill the North American countryside, meadows, prairies and mountains, are incredibly important ecologically, providing nectar rich flowers.
This specimen has been pressed and coated with a UV resistant finish prior to being encapsulated in resin.
The pendant measures 54mm long by 33mm wide, and 20mm thick. This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in tissue paper and hemp twine and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
