This pendant contains one small sprig of Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis), dried and preserved in a clear dome of glass-like resin and then electroformed with a ring of patina'd copper.
A native of North America, Canada Goldenrod, along with the many other species of Goldenrod that fill the North American countryside, meadows, prairies and mountains, are incredibly important ecologically, providing nectar rich flowers.
This specimen has been pressed and coated with a UV resistant finish prior to being encapsulated in resin.
The pendant measures 43mm long by 31mm wide - or approximately 1 3/4" by 1 1/4". This pendant is one of a kind and will be hand wrapped in white tissue paper and hemp twine and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
