Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) - Large #2
$25.00 Sold Out
This pendant contains one small specimen of Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale), dried thoroughly and preserved in a clear point of glass-like resin.
Perhaps one of the most well known, cosmopolitan, universal plants in the Northern hemisphere, Dandelions owe their wide-spread nature in part to their remarkable usefulness, having been used by humans for their numerous culinary and medicinal purposes for most of recorded human history, having been well known to the Egyptians, Romans and Greeks. The flowers were eventually brought to the Americas on the Mayflower, intentionally.
The specimen has been dried thoroughly and coated in a UV resistant finish prior to being embedded in epoxy resin. The cap and findings are made of sturdy stainless steel.
This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in a manner similar to the last photo in the listing and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
Please let me know at checkout if you have a necklace length preference! Otherwise I will include an 18" chain by default.
