Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus) - Medium Crystalline Pendant #1

$25.00 Sold Out

This pendant contains one small specimen of Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus), dried thoroughly and preserved in a clear thin cone of glass-like resin.

Cornflower, named for the tendency of the plant to occupy pastoral lands in it's native range, is considered to have some of the most vividly blue flowers in existence - a rarity in and of itself in the botanical world. For this reason, Cornflowers have historically been used as a rich blue pigment, and in modern usage, "cornflower blue" is still a widely used name for it's particular hue. The flower is also the national flower of Estonia.

The pendant measures approximately 55mm long by 11mm wide, with stainless steel bail and chain.

Please let me know at checkout if you have a necklace length preference! Otherwise I will include an 18" chain by default.
