This pendant contains one small frond of Christmas Fern (Polystichum acrostichoides), dried and preserved in a prism-shaped casing of glass-like resin.
Christmas Ferns are an evergreen species of fern, so named for their traditional use in Yule-time wreaths.
This specimen has been pressed and coated with a UV resistant finish prior to being encapsulated in resin.
The pendant measures 54mm long by 33mm wide, and 20mm thick. This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in a manner similar to the last photo in the listing and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
