Deptford Pink (Dianthus armeria) - Medium #1

$25.00 Sold Out

This pendant contains one small wild specimen of Deptford Pink (Dianthus armeria), dried and preserved in a point of clear, glass-like resin. The name of this plant, "Pink", actually predates the color of the same name, and the English word for the color of the same name was derived from this and other Dianthus species, rather than the other way around.

The pendant measures about 59mm by 10mm or 2 5/16" by 3/8", and all metal used is hypoallergenic stainless steel.

The specimen has been dried thoroughly and coated in a UV resistant finish prior to being embedded in epoxy resin. The cap and findings are made of sturdy stainless steel.

This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in a manner similar to the last photo in the listing and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.

Please let me know at checkout if you have a necklace length preference! Otherwise I will include an 18" chain by default.
