Blue-Eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium angustifolium)
This pendant contains one small sprig of Blue-Eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium angustifolium), dried thoroughly and preserved in a glass-like point of clear resin. Blue-Eyed Grass is a slightly lesser-known Northeastern native wildflower, aptly named for it's appearance, which looks like a single, tiny delicate blue flower sitting atop a blade of grass. It favors open woodland and rich, sunny meadows in the early summer.
The pendant measures about 59mm by 10mm or 2 5/16" by 3/8", and all metal used is hypoallergenic stainless steel.
The specimen has been dried thoroughly and coated in a UV resistant finish prior to being embedded in epoxy resin. The cap and findings are made of sturdy stainless steel.
This pendant is one of a kind and will be wrapped in a manner similar to the last photo in the listing and come with a small tag stating the name of the species, stamped by hand and typed on a vintage typewriter.
Please let me know at checkout if you have a necklace length preference! Otherwise I will include an 18" chain by default.
